Important information for with-profits investors

The following documents give you important information about the With-Profits funds.  From the descriptions below, open the document or documents that apply to your investment. Please refer to your latest yearly statement to find out if your plan invests in the With-Profits fund, and in which series. Alternatively, call us on 0870 514 3624.

The Principles and Practices of Financial Management (PPFM):

90:10 With-Profits fund

  • Full manual - tells you how we manage the money in our With-Profits 90:10 fund. This manual covers conventional with-profits plans and unit linked plans in series 1, 2, 2a, 2b, 3, 3b, 7).

  • Summary of the full manual for unit linked plans in series 1, 2, 2a, 2b, 3, 3b and 7This was updated in May 2008. File size 59K.
  • Our 2008 Bonus booklet for conventional plans issued to investors in May 2008. It shows the 2007 fund performance, how it's invested and changes made to the way we manage it.  File size 115K dated May 2008.  
  • Our 2008 Bonus booklet for unit linked plans issued to investors in May 2008. It shows the 2007 fund performance, how it's invested and changes made to the way we manage it.  File size 119K dated May 2008.
  • Zurich's Annual Report (published in June 2008) from the Board of Directors, including a separate report from the With-Profits Actuary on Zurich Assurance Ltd's compliance with the PPFM (Principles and Practices of Financial Management).

    Full information is contained in the report (you may wish to refer to the PPFM for the definition of technical terms.)

    Zurich Assurance Ltd has to tell its with-profits policyholders each year if it has complied with its obligations in the PPFM. It is the opinion of the board of directors that during 2007:
  • the company has complied with its obligations in the PPFM
  • the way discretion was exercised was appropriate
  • competing or conflicting rights, interests or expectations were addressed in a reasonable and proportionate manner.

    The report contains further information on this, particularly for bonus rates, investment strategy, surrender values, expenses and charges, changes to the PPFM and customer communications. File size 35K. 

100:0 With-Profits fund
