9 November 2006. Zurich is hosting a new series of Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning and business development programmes across the UK. Business development specialists Adviser Breakthrough and technical specialists Technical Connection will be contributing.
The programmes are designed to provide advisers with a comprehensive understanding of the new IHT rules and how they can be used to help clients to mitigate any potential IHT liability. In addition, advisers will also receive guidance on how they can add value to their own business model through effective business planning.
The programmes will each last for three hours and will provide advisers with the detail they need to carry out IHT planning with confidence. A feature will be the use of case studies to show how to apply the new rules to typical situations. Focus will also be given to how combinations of the currently available plans can deliver appropriate solutions in more complex cases
This highly practical approach will demonstrate Zurich's commitment to offering intermediaries and their customers solutions that respond to the changing world we live in.
Explains Paul Wright Investment Management Director for Zurich, "By inviting Technical Connection and Adviser Breakthrough to contribute to the programmes Zurich is offering advisers a fresh perspective on IHT planning. As well as keeping advisers informed of the range of planning tools available, by providing generic guidance on business planning, we will be able to reach a wider audience than before."
Following an overwhelming response from intermediaries, the new series of programmes builds on the success of the previous IHT roadshows run by Zurich earlier this year.
Commenting on the programmes, Tony Wickenden, of Technical Connection, said, "Especially given the changes and the growing interest in IHT planning, now is an important time for IFA businesses to be up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation and how to apply that knowledge to benefit their clients. Through our contribution to the programmes we hope to help equip advisers to respond to their clients' increasingly complex needs".
With over a dozen sessions taking place up and down the country this time around, the company is expecting attendance from over 1000 advisers.
For those advisers looking to develop their business model, the Adviser Breakthrough sessions will provide guidance on how to transform their businesses and achieve even greater levels of success. Topics covered will include business planning, effective fee arrangements and how to add value to the client experience, as well as marketing.
Concludes Paul Cadde, Managing Director of Advisor Breakthrough, "In today's challenging market, advisers need to know more, focus on profitable relationships and make more effective use of their time to ensure their business is even more successful. We are delighted to be working with Zurich to provide advisers with some useful tips on how to help them achieve those goals."
