Zurich strengthens its proposition to brokers

Zurich is strengthening its proposition to brokers following the announcement of the new structure of the UK general insurance business, which has seen the creation of a single broker operation across both personal and commercial lines.

Zurich are renowned for their specialist propositions, be they based on swift service, expert underwriting or customer insight. Under the new structure, all propositions will be introduced and presented to the broker via a single Account Executive. The Account Executive will be responsible for managing the complete Zurich relationship, and also handle major case or portfolio transactions. The complete range of Zurich propositions will thus be easily accessible and the brokers whole account with Zurich will be recognised, not simply the individual elements.

To exploit this increased clarity, Zurich will enhance the access to the underwriters for each of their propositions, providing brokers with the interaction required to win and retain business. Zurich will continue to develop its personal lines, SME and Corporate sectors, and  specialist segments of Property Investors, Construction, Zurich Private Clients, SLE, and Navigators & General.

Dave Smith, recently appointed Managing Director of the new Broker operation commented "We are keeping things simple and organising our Broker business around the two key broker requirements; understanding what we do and how to access us, and interacting with underwriters who are expert in their field. We will be extending our footprint across the broker market and bringing the full power of Zurich to bear to help our brokers give customers the best advice and protection available in the market"
