Zurich shapes up for SME business


Zurich UK commercial has launched a new proposition for regional brokers placing SME business.

In light of broker feedback asking Zurich's UK Commercial business to increase their focus on SME business, the insurer is launching SME Combined Business, a new proposition providing regional brokers with a choice of covers at competitive prices.

New regional underwriting teams have been established across the country that will focus solely on underwriting SME business for regional brokers. This means brokers will now have direct access to experienced underwriters via dedicated contact numbers, postal and email addresses. Through SME Combined Business, brokers will have access to an enhanced product, developed using a new rating model that targets a wider range of trades.

In addition to launching SME Combined Business, Zurich UK Commercial business has re-shaped its SME proposition so brokers can place business with Zurich through four distinct access points:

SME Combined

For a choice of property, casualty and financial lines covers for companies with turnovers of up to £5 million, you'll benefit from:

· A new rating mechanism targeting a wider a range of risks

· Direct access to experienced underwriters with the authority to make decisions

· A choice of covers and efficient service through regional underwriting teams.

Package Business

For retail, office, commercial vehicles and small property investor risks you'll benefit from:

· Access to a range of packages tailored to a range of retail and trade sectors

· Fast turnaround

· Choice of contact options including web, telephone, fax or post.

SME Fleet

For fleets of 5 to 14 vehicles inclusive, brokers will benefit from:

· Focused underwriting

· Direct access to a dedicated team for your small fleet business

· Competitive cover and a range of added value products and services.

Corporate Business

For large commercial risks, companies with turnovers over £5 million, brokers will benefit from:

· Bespoke underwriting

· Tailored insurance and risk management solutions through your usual branch contacts

· Dedicated and specialist technical expertise.
