Zurich Financial Services launches new international brand campaign in the UK

1 March 2006. Zurich Financial Services (Zurich) launches its brand advertising campaign in the UK today, representing another step in the company’s journey to become a leading, global insurance brand in its chosen markets of general and life insurance.


A TV advertising campaign goes live today. In addition to TV adverts, the campaign also consists of a range of print advertisements which will appear in the UK national press, business publications and consumer magazines throughout the year. The campaign started with print advertisements in the leading national press of Switzerland, as well as in Austria, Germany and the US in November 2005. This was shortly followed by TV commercials, which were first aired in December 2005. The brand campaign will also be extended to Italy and Spain in March 2006.


Summarised in the tagline Because change happenz, the campaign addresses the needs of consumers and businesses to manage and cope with change. Zurich’s ability to actively evaluate change allows it to provide innovative, relevant and secure insurance solutions to ensure that customers’ needs are met whatever changes take place in an unpredictable and rapidly changing world.

In the UK we are planning a marketing mix that includes heavyweight advertising, sponsorship and events to create awareness and familiarity amongst our target audience.”
