The sessions, which will run for two hours each, will provide advisers with an outline of the key principles of IHT planning, such as how to use trusts and chargeable lifetime transfers to mitigate against large inheritance tax bills.Sterling’s two new bare trusts, launched after the budget, will also be covered

As well as providing an overview of the basics of IHT planning, the roadshows will also highlight the latest changes introduced by the Government and outline their impact on specific solutions, such as the Discounted Gift Trust and Interest in Possession trusts.

Paul Wright Investment Management Director for Zurich, said: “IHT planning is a real growth area for financial advisers and it is vital that they are not only aware of the recent changes and how they affect their clients but also understand the planning tools available to them and how they can be used to help clients plan effectively for any future IHT liability. The sessions we have put together have been designed to do just that.”
