Zurich's high net worth Private Clients business has collaborated with sister operation Navigators and General to launch new yacht and motorboat products targeted at the high net worth market. The new products can be bought as 'add-ons' to Zurich Private Clients' existing range of high net worth products - home, motor, travel and legal expenses launched in June last year.
Commenting on the launch, Dave Parry, Specialty Business Director said "With almost a quarter of our existing high net worth clients owning boats, this product responds directly to the needs of the Zurich Private Clients'. We are fortunate to have such excellent expertise inhouse - Navigators and General has been at the forefront of yacht and motorboat insurance since 1921 and has been the market leader for over 70 years.
"Zurich Private Clients will offer three different types of cover - for yachts and motorboats, inland waterways and small craft. Mr Parry continues "This policy caters for the high net worth individual's needs, providing cover for all types of pleasure craft including yachts, powerboats, cruisers and classic craft. With reduced capacity for higher value yachts and motorboats in the market, we believe this product will be warmly received by brokers and the market."
