Zurich teams up with the AA, National Car Rental, BRS Truck Rental and Autorestore to launch enhanced fleet policy

16th May 2003

Zurich’s UK Commercial business has re-launched its fleet policy to offer customers a number of new services that are designed to improve fleet performance and save money.

Zurich fleet customers are now able to increase savings on breakdown, recovery and servicing with the AA Service Centre network and take advantage of savings and superior service levels on car and van hire with National Car Rental and truck rental with BRS, Volvo’s truck rental arm. Links with Autorestore, a mobile repair service, offer customers discounted rates and focus on repair rather than replacement of vehicles, saving customers time and money.

David Smith, Head of Business Operations for Zurich’s UK Commercial business said; "We believe our enhanced fleet policy is the first to offer such a comprehensive solution to customers, addressing the ever-increasing challenges of running a fleet."

Falling under either the heading of 'service needs' or 'claims and emergencies', Zurich has also enhanced existing services in their fleet policy to offer customers better quality service and greater value for money.

Customers can now make even more savings on 'pay for use' AA breakdown and recovery. Lawclub – Zurich's uninsured loss recovery service, provided by Lawclub Legal Protection gives customers peace of mind should an accident occur, through the use of specialist solicitors from the outset of the claim and 'How am I driving' provided by Drivecare, ensures that driver performance and fleet risk management can be handled efficiently and proactively.

When it comes to an emergency, Zurich knows that customers expect a quick response and prompt action. Commercial claims centres are now contactable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and customers can also use Zurich’s approved repairer network for cars and vans, including the use of a group 1 courtesy car. Emergency glass and radio repair or replacement is provided by Autoglass and an emergency helpline for accidents occurring abroad is provided by Europ Assistance.

David Smith concluded; "We have partnered with suppliers that are leaders in their specialist fields so that our customers can enjoy the high levels of quality and value that they associate with Zurich."
