Zurich Launches New Corporate Pensions Products

November 2003

Zurich has today announced the launch of four Zurich branded corporate pension products.  The new range supports plans to capitalise on the growing strength of the Zurich brand in the UK and provides a new investment proposition, which will support Zurich’s ambition to be a leading provider within the corporate pensions market.

Zurich corporate pensions will offer a ‘best of breed’ fund choice from fund managers Threadneedle, Barclays Global Investors, Hendersons, Deutsche Asset Management and JP Morgan Fleming.  This will provide employee benefits consultants, and the companies they advise, with a more structured risk approach to fund management choice.  The funds offer a wide choice of high, low and zero alpha rated funds, which companies and their advisers will be able to select according to the needs of each group scheme.

The Zurich corporate pension range builds on Zurich’s successful promotion of the continuing Eagle Star corporate pension range.  It provides the same market-leading Internet-based administration platform, the same people and expertise and the same high quality operational support.

Jim Reeve, Marketing Director, commented;  "We are determined and focused on becoming a major player in the corporate pensions market and see this new range of products, combined with our current proposition, as being able to unlock the exciting opportunities that exist.  Our corporate pensions business has been enjoying a great deal of success and I am very confident about the future prospects for our new products."

The Zurich Corporate Pension range comprises a Group Personal Pension Plan, Group Stakeholder Pension Plan, Occupational Pension Money Purchase Plan and a Group Additional Voluntary Contribution Plan.
