Zurich's commercial business has created a new Property Investors team in a bid to become the market leader. Led by property insurance expert Anne Torry, the team has grown from 25 to almost 40, with a significant investment in senior level people.
Anne Torry, Head of the Property Investors' said: "We listened to what our customers wanted brought together a team highly skilled in property insurance to manage theatres and residential housing."
Paul Stoner is Branch Manager of the London operation and Richard Elliott, previously head of Royal & SunAlliance’s Property Investors Unit, has become Head of Marketing and Business Development. Ian Simons also joins from Royal & SunAlliance to take up the role of Marketing Manager.
David Hancock joins Zurich to head up the team managing business through the International Broker Channel, while an internal promotion makes Jonathan Scotcher Business Manager, responsible for managing business direct and via agents and specialist brokers. Another internal promotion makes Andrew Jackson Underwriting Manager with responsibility for setting underwriting strategy on a national basis for Property Owners business.
Paul McKernan takes on the role of Services Manager, having recently worked with Cox Insurance Brokers and before that with Independent Insurance. Paul will be focusing on efficiency and service standards.
