London, 11 February, 2002 -- Zurich is delighted to sponsor The 2002 Grosvenor House Art & Antiques Fair. The Fair will take place at Le Meridien Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London, from 12 - 18 June as part of the 'London Season.' More than 20,000 guests are expected to attend the Fair, which is internationally recognised as one of the most prestigious events in the world of art and antiques.
Zurich carefully selects the events which it sponsors, choosing high-profile, well-subscribed events that appeal to its target markets. Sandy Leitch, CEO of Zurich in the UK, said, "Antiques are an important part of our culture and heritage, and Zurich encourages the protection of these precious connections with our past. The Fair ensures a historical legacy to the next generation; Zurich ensures the collectors' security and peace of mind".
At Grosvenor House, more than 90 leading international dealers offering art and antiques as diverse as jewellery, sculpture, rare books and textiles with price tags from £100 to £5 million will be under one roof.
High-value or very unique possessions need special insurance. Many works of art and are not covered by the standard homeowners policy. Zurich's sponsorship of the Fair is a way to help buyers understand that they may be at risk if their purchases are not properly insured.
Leitch added, "Zurich's team of specialised underwriters and risk managers can give customers expert advice on exactly what they need for their newly-acquired and more cherished pieces."
