London, 6 November 2002. - Zurich has announced it is consolidating its local operations at the Grange and Cheltenham House, reaffirming the company's ongoing commitment to the town.
Following a review of its office accommodation, Zurich will vacate the UK Life Tower, near Montpellier, and relocate 800 employees to its Bishops Cleeve and town centre sites, creating a contemporary working environment that makes best use of the space available.
The moves will be completed in two phases by mid 2003. There will be no job losses as a result of this move and the union and staff association are playing a full part in this process.
The building has not been formally marketed, however there has already been interest. A further announcement will be made in the new year.
