Zurich expands fund choice

In response to growing demand from intermediaries and their clients, Zurich is introducing ten additional fund links on a selection of its personal pensions.1

Intermediaries and their clients can now access 134 funds from 29 leading investment houses, including for the first time, new funds from Allianz Global Investors and Old Mutual Asset Management.

Commenting on this latest initiative, Dave Lowe, Pensions Management Director, said, “Our new funds have been chosen to complement our existing fund range.  The enhanced range is designed to give intermediaries and their clients extra diversification in investment style, as well as offering a good range of investment managers”.

The extended fund range will also provide policyholders with greater flexibility, by offering a wider investment choice as well as broadening the range of asset classes available to investors.

Lowe continued, “For those people looking to invest in emerging markets, our new fund link with Allianz RCM BRIC Stars fund will provide investors with access to the growth potential of Brazil, Russia, India and China which we believe will prove popular amongst those with an appetite for risk.   In addition, for those investors seeking solid returns through volatile markets, the Merrill Lynch Gold & General fund will be an attractive alternative.”

The additional fund links will also provide intermediaries with an opportunity to review their clients’ arrangements.

Lowe concluded, “By enhancing our pensions proposition with the addition of further Multimanager and Property funds, we are providing our customers with greater choice and flexibility as well as offering investors the opportunity to switch to an alternative Zurich pension fund”.
