Zurich appoints Melvin Hanks as Senior Corporate Distribution Manager

Zurich, Swindon, 16 April 2008:  Zurich announces the appointment of Melvin Hanks to the position of Senior Corporate Distribution Manager, effective immediately. In this position, Melvin will be responsible for maximising the distribution of the Zurich Corporate Pension proposition.  Melvin will report to Stephen Lefley, Head of Corporate Distribution for Zurich Corporate Pensions and will be located in Cheltenham.

 

Melvin joins from Winterthur Life, part of the AXA group where he was Defined Contribution Account Manager.  He was responsible for securing new DC pension sales from leading UK actuarial and employee benefit practices.  Before this, he was Regional Pensions Manager at Eagle Star Group (later Zurich). 

                  

Commenting on the appointment, Stephen Lefley, Head of Corporate Distribution for Zurich said, “Melvin is a highly talented sales manager with extensive contacts in the UK pension market.  He has an excellent reputation and his appointment underlines our commitment to achieving our goal for excellence in the Corporate Pensions arena”.

 

Melvin is the latest appointment hire in the Zurich Corporate Pensions team and will be joining Senior Corporate Distribution Managers Jason Hammersley and Richard Spence.  

 

Further enhancements to the Zurich corporate benefit proposition will be announced throughout the year.
