Welcoming new talent to Zurich

Seeing people develop and grow to fulfil their true potential is one of the most rewarding of management experiences. Zurich is a people business, employing a variety of different talents across a range of different roles, all with one common aim – to make Zurich successful.

At Zurich we look to hire great people and we encourage those people to give their best. We start by selecting people who demonstrate they have the skills, knowledge and experience to meet the demands of the role. Once on board, we provide an induction into the business to make sure people get the best possible start to their Zurich career. Our performance management programme is designed to encourage high levels of performance and to reward those who succeed.

We invest heavily in developing our people and their talent. Personal development plans are just one way of ensuring we treat people as individuals. We provide training and development opportunities through e-learning, classroom training and on the job experiences. This is often complemented by mentoring programmes that utilise the expertise of our senior people.

In a truly global company there are numerous possibilities for developing a professional career. Our job openings are posted on our intranet site and we actively look to identify people’s potential to progress using our Talent Book.

Whether it is through our Graduate Development Programme or our Futures Programme, our formal development programmes provide talented people with the support, the opportunity and the challenge they need to be successful. These programmes sit alongside a variety of training modules designed to develop the inter-personal, business, leadership and technical skills of our people.

Our continuous focus on leadership means that we continue to develop our senior managers by providing ongoing Coaching and programme support based on the needs of the individual.

We believe that, for those people with the attitude and ability to succeed, Zurich is a welcome change.
