The areas within Shared Services support the success of Zurich's UK business units by providing a wide variety of essential services.

The areas within Shared Services are:

Creative Agency - Swindon based, the team offers the following services to the business:

Marketing strategy	Brand guidance
E-strategy & website design	Multimedia & DVDs
Design for print	Direct marketing/campaigns
Advertising - press & online	Exhibition graphics
Internal/external publications	Sales incentives & point of sale

File Management - based at our File Centre in Swindon and Cheltenham, the team store and monitor all files held by the Group, including current staff files and policy files.

Finance - Fareham and Swindon are home to our Actuaries and Financial and Management Accountants.

Human Resources (HR) - based across the UK, the HR team includes:

Employment Pensions Schemes -  this team is based in Cheltenham and maintain all aspects of the schemes

Employee Relations - various sites dealing with employee advice, grievance and disciplinary, and Union liaison

HR Services - based in Swindon, the team provide all administration services for Payroll and Benefits, and support for all HR based projects, along with HR Management Information for the business

Learning and Development - working from Fareham  and Swindon, the team aim to meet all learning and development requirements of a non-technical nature for the UK buisness

Recruitment - predominantly based in Swindon with some consultants in the field, the team co-ordinate all recruitment activity, both internal and external.

Internal Communications - based in Cheltenham, Fareham and Swindon, this team works with the whole business to provide effective communications tools and channels.

Postal Services - with offices along the South Coast, Cheltenham and Swindon, Postal Services ensure all internal and external mail is sorted and delivered to all locations as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Print Management Services (Astron) - Zurich have transferred responsibility for the print purchasing, warehousing and stationery distribution functions to the Astron Group.

Procurement - this team is spread between Cheltenham, Fareham and Swindon and they work with colleagues in the business to negotiate deals with approved suppliers for the purchase of many commodities which are essential to the running of the business.

Telephone Services - with the main switchboard operations in Cheltenham and Swindon, the team handle external incoming calls.

UK Corporate Marketing - mainly based in Swindon, this area deals with external communications, brand and advertising, media relationships, sponsorship and strategic planning to name a few.

UK Events and Corporate Hospitality - based in Swindon and Whiteley, the team provides a professional event management service to all areas of Zurich's UK businessess. The team's extensive knowledge and experience in event organisation enables them to deal with any type or size of event.
