The best interview
The interview is your chance to sell yourself. The potential employer is looking to find out about you and your potential, and it’s also a chance for you to find out if the company is the place you would like to continue your career.
Interview
- A traditional interview with a panel of people or the person you will be reporting to if you were offered the job.

- This could include an interview, written exercises, case studies, psychometric tests, role play, presentations or group discussions.
Psychometric testing
- This could be multiple choice or you may be asked to describe in your own words the answers to the questions.
Performance-based tests
- Ability tests – these may include numerical, verbal reasoning or intelligence tests
- Aptitude tests – these are used to assess speed and accuracy
- Personality tests – to gauge what kind of person you are and how well you’ll fit the role and organisation.
