For 2008 we are looking for graduate trainees with our Broker and Commercial Direct Divisions. In the Broker division you will learn how Zurich markets to brokers, how we establish our pricing and give guidance on underwriting principles, and ultimately how to manage your own broker portfolio whilst trying to grow our business".
In Commercial Direct you will - as the name suggests - deal directly with our clients, mainly insurance managers of local authorities, councils or government institutions.
Our Sales & distribution team is ideally looking for graduates with business- and finance-related degrees, but more important is your aptitude and desire to work in an Account Executive sales role.
Initially you’ll work in an internal sales role,to gain an understanding of our business,with a view to moving into an external sales position within 12 to 18 months. However,if you demonstrate the right level of maturity,confidence and pro-activity there are opportunities to make the move sooner.
While on the Graduate Programme within Sales your training will combine external sales courses, on the job experience and study for the ACII (Advanced Diploma qualification with the Chartered Insurance Institute).
