Within our Graduate Development Programme a career in Finance offers a rich variety of opportunities. Over the three years we’ll support you to gain your chosen finance professional qualification, ACA, ACCA or CIMA, as well as developing leadership potential. Whilst we are open to candidates from different degree disciplines, you will need to have a strong numerate A-level subject
The training scheme is accredited and will give you the maximum opportunity to gain professional status through a combination of professional training and working experience.
For 2008, we are looking to recruit Finance graduates into both our Life Business (Swindon based – ACA & CIMA offered) and General Insurance Business (Fareham based – ACCA & CIMA offered).
Regardless of which Business you’ll go into, during your three years on the programme you’ll rotate across a number of key finance areas, experiencing financial and management accounting disciplines.
Business-facing finance teams
These teams support our key business areas – personal insurance, commercial lines, global corporate and life assurance.
In any of these teams you’ll work alongside the business to provide:
- Decision-making support on new products and initiatives
- Financial support to business projects and initiatives
- Financial planning
Corporate finance teams
You’ll have opportunities to work in a variety of disciplines supporting Zurich’s regulatory and management financial requirements:
- Financial regulatory reporting
- Planning and project accounting
- Performance reporting
- Reinsurance
- Expense management
- Investment and treasury
Whilst on the graduate scheme we’ll review your progress every six months against both your professional qualification experience requirements and your personal development plan. The Finance management team will also carry out regular reviews to ensure you’re getting the best from the programme.
