Our Graduate selection process
Firstly, you will need to complete our online application form, where you have the chance to tell us a bit more about yourself as well as why you are interested in working for us. Make sure to use all the available space and not to forget anything you feel we should know about you! In addition to that, we will be looking at your academic background - a minimum of 260 UCAS points (or equivalent) and 2:1 degree (or equivalent) will be required for all our roles.
Should you be successful at this stage, you will receive an email inviting you to complete online verbal and numerical reasoning tests. These tests measure your ability to make sense of information presented to you in verbal or numerical format. Try to complete these tests when you are in a quiet environment, make sure you have a calculator to hand, and lastly – don’t count on others to help you out as you may be retested at a later stage!
Once we receive your test results back, we will invite successful candidates to do a telephone interview with a member of our Graduate Recruitment team. These may last up to 1 hour, and will cover motivational and competency-based questions, as well as your understanding of the role you applied to, so it is essential that you do your research in advance.
Next comes a half day pre-assessment centre in London. As well as making a presentation and taking part in a group exercise, you’ll have the chance to find out a little bit more about Zurich Financial Services.
And finally you will experience an assessment centre, which takes a full day and includes a presentation, interview, group exercise and case study. But don’t be put off – at Zurich we see these events as a two-way process, and we’ll therefore encourage you to find out everything you need to know about Zurich just as much as we will be trying to find out more about you!
And one final note – we believe it’s important for you to know why you may not have been successful at any one stage, so please feel free to request feedback!
