Our employees
We work in an environment where everybody’s contribution is valued and where all can achieve their full potential. To make sure we are achieving this, we ask people to share their views through regular employee engagement surveys, covering areas such as work organisation and quality, management effectiveness, learning and development, performance and reward and job satisfaction. We listen to the feedback we get and make improvements, where appropriate, both at individual department and wider organisational level.
Involvement in the community plays an important role in our working environment and we believe this benefits all of us as well as the organisations with which we work.
Regular employee surveys are completed across the UK Business on an annual basis – the last full survey was conducted across Europe in November 2008. In 2009 the survey will be conducted for the first time on a global basis. The survey contains a benchmark question on CR and addresses workplace issues such as workload and equality of treatment. The results, together with the next steps in terms of implementation, will be communicated to all employees.
