Commitment

To demonstrate our commitment to CSR related issues, in the UK, Zurich is a member of the following CSR related organisations:

  • Corporate Responsibility Group

We also participate in the Corporate Responsibility and business in the Environment indices.

Corporate Social Responsibility Council

We’ve set up a Corporate Responsibility Council that acts as a steering group for all our CSR activity – identifying and recommending priorities and approaches, and supporting individual business units to build CSR into the planning process.

The terms of reference for that group are:

  • identifying a best practice approach to CSR which fits with the strategic aims of the UK business and ZFS global strategy 
  • establish CSR priorities for UK business 
  • influence the business to adopt and implement these priorities through normal functional/ business processes 
  • support the embedding of CSR targets into business plans through communication and regular monitoring of performance 
  • measure achievements of CSR targets and re-evaluate priorities based on changes in best practice or performance.
