Directions
From Swindon, South Coast & M4: Leave the M4 at junction 15 and follow the signs for ‘Cirencester and Cheltenham’ first on the A419 and then the A417. Go straight on at the roundabout adjacent to the Air Balloon public house and then take the first left, signposted ‘Leckhampton’.
Follow this road, B4070, for approximately 3 miles, continuing directly ahead through two mini roundabouts in Leckhampton until you reach a large roundabout, with the Norwood Arms public house on your left.
Go straight on at the roundabout and go through two sets of main traffic lights. Following signs for the ‘Town Centre’ and pass the former UK Life Tower on your left, manoeuvre into the centre lane at the mandatory left turn into Oriel Road and continue straight ahead to the traffic lights.
Move into the right hand lane, go through the next set of traffic lights and following the ‘Inner Ring Road’ signs veer right where the road separates. Move across to the left hand lane, passing the bus station on your left.
Proceed through the pedestrian lights and follow the road around to the right at the next set of traffic lights. Continue through the town centre between Littlewoods and Boots and turn right at the back of Boots. At the traffic lights turn left and proceed through two further sets of main traffic lights. Proceed up the hill through Pittville Park and manoeuvre into the left hand lane at the next roundabout.
Continue straight ahead, passing Cheltenham Racecourse and its station on your right. At the next set of traffic lights proceed straight ahead past GE Aviation on your left. Take the second exit signposted Evesham at the next roundabout. The Grange is situated about three hundred metres beyond the roundabout on the right.
On the return journey, pass Cheltenham Racecourse on your left, proceed straight ahead at the roundabout and follow the Town Centre signs. At the second set of traffic lights turn left and follow the through traffic signs on the inner ring road until you see the signs for A46 Stroud. Follow these until you see the signs for Birdlip, which will lead you back up to the Air Balloon and A417.
From Birmingham and the North: Leave the M5 at junction 9 and follow the signs to ‘Evesham’ on A46 for 3 miles until the roundabout. Take the fourth exit signposted ‘Cheltenham, A435’. Follow this road for 4 miles to the Bishops Cleeve bypass. Proceed straight ahead at the next two roundabouts. The Grange is situated on the left just after the second roundabout.
From Bristol, Wales and the South West: Leave the M5 at junction 11 and follow the signs for ‘Cheltenham Town Centre, A40’. Go straight on at the first two roundabouts and proceed for approximately 2 miles to the next roundabout. Turn left and follow the road down into the Town Centre. Turn left at the next set of traffic lights and following the ‘Inner Ring Road’ signs veer right where the road separates. Move across to the left hand lane, passing the bus station on your left.
