Zurich is fully embracing the Financial Services Authority's (FSA), Treating Customers Fairly initiative through a cross UK programme and has carried out a comprehensive review of its customer facing processes, implementing any necessary improvements. We do not apply discriminatory product pricing against particular social groups. We have received accreditation from the Raising Standards Quality Mark Scheme recognising that our charges and charging structures are clear and transparent and meet the standards set by the Scheme. We comply with all regulation to disclose commission payments. In 2006, Zurich rated in the top 1% of companies for responsible selling and marketing in the Business in the Community Corporate Social Responsibility index.
We want everyone to find it easy to deal with us. All of our documentation is available in large print, Braille, audio tape or CD. We use Plain English “Crystal Mark” approval for key documents. In our Life business, we can introduce customers’ financial advisers to sign-language interpreters. We also aim to make our website as accessible as possible. All of our locations and selling points are fully accessible to people with disabilities and older people.
An Employee Rights questionnaire is an integral part of our tendering and supplier selection process in the UK, and we’ve been recognised for our exemplary CSR and supplier management practices.
