Zurich in the UK - Community Initiatives
Some of our community involvement programmes include:
Zurich Community Trust
- Breaking the Cycle - £1.2 million over four years with Addaction to break the generational cycle of drug misuse.
- Older People - £2.2 million over five years with six partners to support the most vulnerable older people.
- Young People's Mental Health - £1.1 million over 5 years to support children and young people with mental health issues.
- Southern India – an ongoing programme which combines long term funding with seven National Governmental Organisations (NGOs). There are also personal development opportunities for senior managers.
Employee Involvement
- Since 1981, Zurich Community trust has donated over £60 million.
- Over 700 charities are supported every year.
- Zurich employees raise over £500,000 each year.
- Around 50,000 hours are volunteered by 20% of Zurich's people.
