UK consumers are moving away from the traditional sun, sea and sand holiday and revitalising the stay-at-home holiday market. Some key travel trends include Homeland Holidays, Cultra-venturing, W(h)ealthcare travel, and Volun-tourism. Fears about the environmental impacts of air travel, along with increasing airport security queues, are driving these trends. But there’s more to it than that: Britons are also realising they don’t have to go abroad for art, culture, nature, and good food.
