The Zurich Community Trust (UK) Limited is a registered charity funded by an annual donation from the Zurich UK businesses and by generous donations from UK employees.
Its annual £3 million grant programme addresses key social issues and supports disadvantaged people to lead more independent lives. It also engages Zurich employees in a broad volunteering programme sharing skills with the community.
The Trust supports around 700 charities each year, making a measurable impact to the lives of over 90,000 people in the UK and overseas.
Zurich Cares is the name of the employee involvement programme and there are many opportunities for you to get involved with raising money for charity, awarding them grants and sharing your personal and business skills through volunteering your time.
If you take part in the award winning Give As You Earn scheme your regular payroll giving will be matched by 100%. Zurich Cares will also match by 50% money you or your children raise through sponsored events for your chosen charity. There is also a monthly Zurich Cares lottery scheme.
And if you volunteer as a School Governor or Trustee, a £200 grant award per annum is available for your school or charity for which you are volunteering.
And just to show Zurich believes in supporting you to give time to help others - the business allows one paid day per year (pro-rated if you are part-time) to volunteer in the community.
