Find your lost policy or unclaimed money

According to the Unclaimed Assets Register there's approximately £15 to £20 billion of unclaimed financial money in the UK.

A change of address is one of the most common reasons why people lose track of their insurance policies, pensions and investments over the years. Death and failing to inform beneficiaries of financial accounts and policies is another.

To help us reunite you with any policies that you may have taken out with Zurich, or from other companies which now make up Zurich, such as Allied Dunbar, Eagle Star, Allied Hambro and Hambro Life, just give us a call on 0370 333 1500.

We can easily check our records to see if you have any policies with us and this won't cost you a penny.

To help us with the search for any older plans you may have taken out with us, you may also need to provide us with any previous names, addresses and details of your employment history.

Tracing policies with other companies

If you know the name of the company, you can call them directly as they will be able to check their records for you.

If you are trying to trace a pension provided by a former employer, you can also try the free Pension Tracing Service which is run by the Department for Work and Pensions and can be found on the www.gov.uk website.

Alternatively, you can contact the Unclaimed Assets Register (UAR) which is a service provided by Experian. This is the national register of lost and unclaimed life, pension and investment plans. The cost of a search through the UAR is currently £25.00.
