Tips and advice

How to lower your premiums

The way we work with your broker to calculate your premium takes into account a lot of factors so that we can offer you our best price. We’ve put together a few tips to help you keep the cost down as much as possible:

  • Make sure you drive carefully so you don't get any motoring convictions or claims
  • Driving a less sporty car will reduce your premium
  • Park your car on a drive or in a garage
  • Reduce your annual mileage
  • Complete a pass plus driving course once you have passed your driving test
  • Fit a GPS tracking device to your car
  • Increase your voluntary excess
  • Do not use your car to commute if possible
  • If possible, restrict driving to you or named people and do not include any young drivers on your policy.
