Extras you can add to your policy

Zurich believes that you should have the policy that best suits you. That’s why we offer some optional extras that allow you to tailor-make the kind of policy you want.

• Breakdown Assistance. We offer several different types of recovery service at varying levels of cover and price. It’s up to you which – if any – of them best fits your needs.
  • Your normal cover means that you are covered should your car break down over ¼ mile from your home. Home-Call gives you added cover right from your own driveway.
  • Or you could opt for the extra peace of mind of Nationwide Breakdown Recovery Service. This not only covers you for breakdowns anywhere in the UK but also ensures that you and your passengers will be taken to your intended destination, wherever that may be in the UK. You’re also covered in the event of the driver being taken ill – we’ll provide a chauffeur to make sure you complete your journey or get taken home.
  • And if you’re someone who often motors on the continent, the option of European Breakdown and Accident Assistance could be just what you need. This gives you full cover for breakdowns, accidents, fire and theft anywhere in the European Union. It also includes up to 5 nights accommodation whilst your car is being repaired, up to £750 towards car hire and even covers the cost of returning your vehicle to the UK if it can’t be repaired abroad.
• Protected No Claims Discount. Sometimes you might not be too keen to make a claim knowing that it will have an adverse effect on your No Claims Discount. For a little extra, you can protect that and make 2 claims in 5 years without it affecting your overall bonus.
