It is agreed even if contrary to other parts of the policy that the limit of liability under section 1 in respect of any claim arising directly or indirectly from terrorism shall be £5,000,000 or the minimum amount required by the compulsory motor insurance legislation in the country in which the insured event occurs, whichever is the greater.
For the purposes of this policy terrorism means the use or threat of action
where:
- the action
a) involves serious violence against the person
b) involves serious damage to property
c) endangers a person’s life, other than that of a person committing the act
d) creates a serious risk to health and safety of the public or a section of the public, or
e) is designed seriously to interfere with or seriously to disrupt an electronic system, and
- the use or threat is designed to influence the Government or to intimidate the public or a section of the public, and
- the use or threat is made for the purpose of advancing a political, religious or other ideological cause.
Otherwise the remainder of the policy applies.
