Green insurance for a better future

In a world that is under threat by global warming, Zurich is taking action to protect our future. To do this, we are continually making positive changes to become more environmentally friendly. Here are some of the changes we have already made to show our commitment to the environment:

  • We target our Salvage Agents to re-use at least 85% of all parts and oil following the total loss of a vehicle
  • We print all our documentation on paper which comes from fully sustainable forests, is bleached without chlorine gas and can be recycled
  • To encourage reduced pollution levels entering the atmosphere, in the majority of cases, we provide preferential rates for low mileage
  • We believe that every small step helps. That’s why we encourage our employees to get involved in local community projects by giving them one day off a year fully paid to do this
  • Since the mid 1990s, in the UK, we have been introducing high standards of environmental and resource management and progressively integrating them into our operations
  • We were one of the founder signatories to the Association of British Insurers (ABI) ClimateWise principles in the UK in 2007

By choosing Zurich as your insurance provider, you can feel proud that you’ve taken steps to help the planet
