If there is an incident which may result in a claim your customer should phone

Your customer will need to immediately:
- Send us any writ or summons or letter before action and any other letter or communication which they receive
- Tell us about any claim or allegation made against them verbally
- Notify us of any impending prosecution, inquest or fatal injury inquiry
- Report the incident to the police and obtain a crime reference number if the vehicle is stolen, broken into, subject to attempted theft, or damaged deliberately.
In addition your customer:
- Should not admit liability for or negotiate the settlement of any claim
- Is also obliged to take all reasonable actions to minimise the cost of a claim under their policy of insurance. We will assist and advise them in this regard, to the best of our ability in the light of our knowledge of the circumstances.
