Inspection and Risk Management

Zurich Building Guarantee inspect new and converted/refurbished homes under construction as part of a tightly targeted programme of risk management, using our team of Zurich employed qualified surveyors.  They will assess each development on its merits, considering the complexity of the site, its environment, the type of construction being adopted and the capabilities and expertise of the builder.

See our inspection & risk management sheet.

At an early stage your site manager should contact our surveyor to arrange a meeting to discuss the nature of the developments and the work involved. This allows us to agree a risk management programme with you that targets site inspections to meet the necessary levels of service for your site. It also means we can cover any design or construction issues.

The number of inspections during construction will vary depending on the site and type of project.

At each inspection our surveyor will electronically record all of the data gathered and then print a report for each plot where they have given technical advice or recorded a defect. This report is held in hard copy on the site record logbook, which is kept on site. We download the electronic lo each day to our main computer, which maintains an ongoing record of information for each plot. This is an invaluable source of management data and we are uniquely able to offer you a regular reporting service based on this information.
